| Soaring Society of America SSA - The Soaring Society of America, Inc. was formed in 1932 to foster and promote all phases of soaring, both nationally and internationally. Since then, the SSA membership has grown to in excess of 12,000. It is run by a 26 member Board of Directors, 20 of which are elected by the general membership by region to serve a three year term, and six who are elected by the Board of Directors each year to serve one-year terms. The policies and programs implemented by the SSA are decided by the Board of Directors, in meetings held bi-annually in the Summer and Winter. All Board meetings are open to the general membership. |
| Vintage Sailplane Association (VSA) - The Purpose of the Vintage Sailplane Association (VSA) is to promote the acquisition, restoration and flying of older (Vintage and Classic) sailplanes by its members, and to assist the National Soaring Museum in the preservation of soaring history and the promotion of vintage sailplane activity. The VSA is a Divison of the Soaring Society of America, and is a supporter of Gliding and Motorgliding International. |
